Meet Summer: Behind the Lens

Hi! I’m Summer Carson, the girl behind the camera. Photography isn’t just a hobby for me, it’s a passion I’ve been building since I was young and it has shaped so much of who I am today.

I’m incredibly lucky to have a family that has always believed in me. My parents, Casey and Daniel, have supported me every step of the way, encouraging me to pursue my dreams and helping me grow my business into what it is today. My sisters have been just as instrumental. Sydney, my older sister, has always been a cheerleader for everything I do, and Savannah, my younger sister, was my first model when I wanted to get into photography but didn’t have anyone to shoot. Having them by my side gave me the confidence to learn, experiment, and develop my style.

Growing up, dance and pageants have been huge parts of my life and they taught me grit, discipline, and the importance of connecting with people. Working with others is second nature to me. I know the best photos come when you feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely excited in your environment. My goal during every session is to create that space for you so you can relax, be yourself, and let your personality shine through the lens.

I’m also a student at NC State, majoring in Communication with a minor in Business Entrepreneurship. My goal is to take the skills I’m learning in school and apply them to grow my business into a full-time career after graduation. Photography has always been more than just taking pictures, it’s about building relationships, creating experiences, and showing people how special they are.

When I’m not behind the camera or in class, you’ll likely find me outdoors at the lake, exploring nature, or soaking up every season, hot, cold, or somewhere in between, with a smile on my face ready for whatever the day brings. I love coffee, matcha, country music, and a good time with friends, and I hope we can connect and have fun during your session too.

Photography is my passion and working with people is my favorite part of it. I can’t wait to meet you, hear your ideas, and help capture moments that you’ll cherish forever.
